traditional anniversary gift ideas with
a twist so this is something I just
recently found out about but apparently
anniversaries have themes I had only
heard a silver golden and diamond
anniversary but apparently from the
first year there are themes so they
start out with paper wood cotton things
like that leather could be something
interesting there so these are just some
simple and interesting gift ideas that
sort of fit into the traditional vein
but have a nice little interesting twist

the first one is paper so for a fun
twist on this my husband actually gave
me a kindle and i use it absolutely all
the time
so if you wanted to you could give a
traditional book but I just think this
makes us so much more sense and it
definitely adds a nice twist to the
tradition the second one is cotton for
this anniversary I made my husband some
pajamas and a matching sleep mask which
he uses every single night if you're new
to sewing pajamas are the absolute
easiest thing you could choose to
practice on you can find the patterns at
any fabric or craft store and they're
super easy third anniversary is leather
and for this I decided to do a DIY you
just take a simple luggage tag which you
can get at any craft store and using
some standard stamping tools add a
message that has something to do with
your wedding for this one I picked a
scripture that was read during our
ceremony and I loved the way this turned
out and that it's unique to us and our
wedding day the fourth one is of fruit
and flowers for this one I thought a
wine tasting would be the perfect date
that both of you could enjoy if you are
not really sure exactly where to go

anniversary theme is wood and I picked
these wooden watches for us from Yoda
they're absolutely gorgeous they're nice
and lightweight they're durable because
they're made from really heavy solid
types of wood you could even get them in
the exact same types of wood if you
wanted super matching watches I think
they're absolutely stunning
they are self-winding and you can see
all the mechanics of the watches through
the backs of them and then you get a
little peek through the watch faces as

the anniversary theme is iron do not
give your loved one an iron they will
kill you instead I suggest making some
personalized magnets you can get these
magnet strips with an adhesive back then
place them over the photo where you
think you want the magnet to stick cut
out the general area then stick the
magnet to the back of the photo and then
cut off the excess of the photo if you
cut one of these rectangles in half they
make these perfectly square magnets as
well and you can just make a lovely
collection of magnets that are sort of
your greatest hits of your relationship
and beautiful memories that you'd like
to see and reminisce about every day
because they're right there on your
refrigerator
the next anniversary is copper for this
one grab a couple of Moscow Mule mugs
and create your own signature cocktail
you might already have a signature
cocktail from your wedding reception but
if you don't find some ingredients you
both like and make a date of it the next

did a DIY with an aluminum pendant and
some simple metal stamping tools I used
a nail finisher for the degree symbol
and put our wedding location coordinates
