52 Things I Love About You DIY - Anniversary Gifts - University Life

hello everybody and welcome back to this channel I was going through my camera trying to delete like a bunch of videos that I didn't need anymore because when I went up to on my like trips up to Yoho and stuff like that I want to have a lot of camera space and me being the person I am accidentally deleted the intro clip for the DIY that I'm gonna be doing so I guess I'll just go through really quick what I probably cut out which is like the supplies you need so you'll need adeck of cards you'll need a couplepieces of just white paper you'll need any pens of your choice you'll need Mod Podge or just any kind of glue that you think would work heck you can even tape them on if you want to or if you're really fancy you can like laminate them but I use Mod Podge so of course and then an old paintbrush so that you don't like reeling one of your good ones as well as like those little like binder rings or any kind of rings that you think would work for the thickness of yours so yeah if you're interested in hearing how I made these 52 reasons why I love you cards then just keep watching and I'll get into all those little Clips there so first thing that you're gonna do is you're gonna just trace out 52 well I'm gonna do a couple more than 52 just in case if I mess up but you gotta trace out 52 little templates like this so I just lined one up at the back of the card and just to see what size I kind of wanted and it turns out that this is it's five centimeters by six and a half centimeters like that so I'm just going to trace this all over this paper and then cut it out and now that you have a whole bunch of your templates drawn on a piece of paper like this you're just gonna cut them all out you so the first thing you're gonna do is you're just gonna take your first card and on it you're gonna write 52 things I love about to you and whatever way you want you can decorate the edges or do anything like that but that'll be the very first card so you can just start by writing all that out so that's just what mine looks like there so I'm just gonna go around it and then little hearts in the corner you can do whatever you want like different decorations different colored pens baking like that Solara so this is pretty much all up to you but this would be the very first one and then at the very back you're also going to do you're just gonna do a car that says love and then your name or just anything just so they know who it's from or you could put the year or anything like that so that's just what I'm gonna do here so my back card just looks like this I just put made with love by Brianna and then I put happy two years because this is the anniversary I'mmaking it for and then the date of that as well so then on all the rest of the cards you're just gonna think of 52 things you love about your boyfriend/girlfriend you could even do this for like mother or dad or like anyone special in your life so you can just kind of think about 52 things that you love about them write them down on these cards and then I'll come back on the next step when we're gonna actually start attaching them to to the cards after you've written out all your little things you're just going to take your Mod Podge and you're or you could just take regular glue or tape if you want but I'm using Mod Podge and I'm just gonna put it in this little little Bowl thing here and I am gonna be doing this on top of like this old letter and some paper just so I don't get my table all messy so I'm just gonna start by putting some in here I'm gonna take my first card which is a joker and that's the one I'm gonna use for the very front and I'm gonna take that 52 things I love about you and I'm just going to try and figure out where Center is on it flip it upside down if it's a mock pot on Mod Podge on the back just help it stick when I go to paint over it and I kind of find the center like you'll be able to move it around a bit more like once you stuck it down like it's not for ever since you find a place where you think is pretty centered or at least where you want it like that then you're just gonna go back into the mod podge and you're just gonna go over top of it all at the whole card just to make sure it extra sticks okay what I'm going to do next is I'm gonna take this three-hole punch you could do a two hole punch as well or like just the hand one but I don't have one and I'm gonna punch two holes in the first card just to get a feel of where I want the stuff actually I'm gonna prep this part first so I'm just gonna go in on the first card and punch two holes in it like that and then I'm just gonna take a couple cards cuz I could do a couple at a time and line it up to see where exactly the holes were on the first ones um the cards might be a bit tricky to get in there cuz they're thicker so just like that and you're gonna go through and you're gonna punch holes and all of your cards okay once you have all the holes punched I'm just gonna take these rings here um I got them from Staples or something like that and they just like open up like that and close so I just took two of them and then I'm just going to put the last of the cards onto them ideally I'd recommend using bigger ones than I did I actually bought bigger ones but then I lost them and then anyway but yeah so use a bit bigger rings than this cuz as you can see I'm kind of having a hard time getting the last bit of cards on but just slide them onto these rings here and clasp it up sudden your little book will look like this and it'll have like you can flip through all of them like this so just make sure it's in the order that you want and everything like that and then yeah you're all done with this project so yeah that is all for this video I hope
